She’d never liked trying to grocery shop while talking on the phone. For one thing, it was distracting, and she knew what she thought of other people that did it: Just can’t put it down, can you? It’s like a damn part of your arm, isn’t it? Simply ridiculous. But this was different, her son had finally called back and she couldn’t miss his call.
